FAQs

Why would Stretch & Flex be good for me?
Stretch & Flex has been specifically created for anyone who wishes to increase their strength and range of movement in their muscles and joints. Whether it is for sport and exercise purposes or just to help complete daily tasks with ease. It is therefore beneficial to people of any age and with any ability.
What happens in a regular Stretch & Flex class?
This is not a high-impact class, the majority of the time you will be on a mat. Read our overview on the CLASSES page.
Our classes involve controlled, slow tempo Pilates movements for strength and mobility including deep stabilising core work, general stretches to release muscles and specific stretches to increase flexibility. Breathing and relaxation is an important part and will be done throughout the class and during stretches to help release stubborn muscles.
WHY IS MY FLEXIBILITY NOT AS GOOD AS EVERYONE ELSE?
Never compare your chapter one with someone else’s chapter fifteen. Age, old/new injuries, genetic make-up are all factors that can limit the possible results which can be achieved, directing every persons path differently. Your flexible capabilities are as unique as you are.
What do I wear?!
Anything comfy! Lots of layers are perfect to ensure you always stay warm and make sure you can move freely. Shoes are optional, I prefer without.
